Taj Mahal is located in
Agra,
India. The
Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan created the Taj Mahal as a mausoleum for his wife,
Mumtaz Mahal. In 1632, the construction began for the Taj Mahal and finished in 16 years. The Taj Mahal's design is considered the best example of
Mughal architecture, which encompasses elements from Indian, Islamic, Persian, and Turkish architectural styles. In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a
UNESCO World Heritage Site.
